Welcome to the Mid West Regional Council

The Mid West Regional Council is an exciting new level of local government which brings together its four member Shires:

Mingenew, Morawa, Perenjori, Three Springs

for the primary purpose to promote the strength of the whole region through unity.

With a history of working co-operatively, the member Shires made the commitment to each other and the region to embark on the more formal entity of a Regional Council in pursuit of growth and development for their individual communities.

The Mid West Regional Council Establishment Agreement defines the regional purpose is to explore the possibilities of facilitating, and identifying funding and revenue opportunities for a wide range of entrepreneurial services and projects required by each of the member Shires on a regional basis.

As well as offering economies of scale and effective business regimes, the Regional Council acts as a service provider for administrative and operational services required by the Member Shires and for other local governments at a fee for service.

The MWRC continues to liaise with local, state and federal government on the development of policies and legislation which are of benefit to the Region and to conduct any executive functions of a local government.
